David Simpson, PhD

Dr David Simpson studied mechanical engineering at university and obtained a PhD at Brunel University, London. David held a position of Senior Research Fellow at the University of Oxford and published over 100 peer reviewed Journal paper and conference proceedings.

David has held senior industrial positions as Head of R&D, Global Head of Hip marketing and General Manager at large Orthopaedic manufacturing Companies and has a wealth of 20 years’ experience spanning clinical, regulatory, commercial and product development.

iEthos medical ltd was founded by Dr Simpson in 2017 and has acted as commercial partner and consultant to the healthcare industry across many specialised fields including complex surgery, streamlining clinical pathways and regenerative medicine.

Dr. Simpson and his partner Mr. Jonathon Jacobs-Law founded iEthos LTD, a UK based consulting firm for International MedTech startups.
