Douglas T Jones

Doug’s career in healthcare has spanned 35 years, with extensive experience on both the provider and supplier sides of the business. During that time, he has focused on sales, sales management and corporate accounts, encompassing price strategy, contract negotiations, and large account relationship management.

Doug spent 20 years with DePuy, a Johnson and Johnson Company, in sales and corporate accounts. At DePuy, he led a large team of account managers and financial analysts focused on hospitals, health systems Group Purchasing Organizations and the federal government. In his role, Doug was responsible for developing and implementing go-to-market pricing and contract strategy and led key negotiations with large corporate customers in support of their US orthopedic business.

Doug also spent 12 years with HealthTrust/HCA, leading their medical device clinical and sourcing teams. As AVP of Clinical Operations, and then AVP, Business Development, Doug’s primary responsibilities included working closely with senior supply chain and clinical leadership on orthopedics, spine, osteobiologics, and cardiology projects. He worked closely with HealthTrust and HCA’s Innovation Council, National Contracts team and Clinical Advisory Boards to review new and innovative technology, provide recommendations to the GPO and its 1800 members, and served as a liaison with HealthTrust’s 150-person physician advisor team.

Doug founded several remote monitoring businesses, responsible for the strategic direction of the company including key partnerships, and product development.

Doug’s focus in his current role has been to advise companies on national contract and corporate sales strategies, such as marketing campaigns, product positioning, small veteran and minority owned certification, and contract negotiations with large national GPOs and regional purchasing coalitions for hospitals, health systems, physician practices, ASCs and clinics.
